The State Services Commission have commissioned engage2 to raise awareness about the Open Government Partnership (OGP) and invite New Zealanders to participate in the development of the National Action Plan (NAP).
engage2 have designed an engagement process to encourage people interested in the open government principles to comment on the proposed background and vision sections of the NAP, to suggest actions and to work with government officials to co-create recommendations for government to consider for inclusion in New Zealand’s second National Action Plan.
Over the next six weeks engage2 will be:
Identifying people interested in open government, and the themes being discussed, and inviting their participation in the OGP NAP process
Raising awareness about open government in New Zealand and the opportunity to contribute to the NAP
Working with people who want to participate to ensure their input is useful and considered
Capturing and analysing input shared throughout the engagement process in an open and transparent way
Encouraging collaboration between government and New Zealand communities
The project will progress through four stages, which are shown in the timeline (PDF, 969 KB), and people will have multiple opportunities to contribute their thoughts.
To stay up to date about the project please register your interest at: firstname.lastname@example.org. You will be invited to participate through various online channels and receive regular updates about the project with further information on how you may participate.
We encourage you to help promote this opportunity to contribute to New Zealand’s National Action Plan for the Open Government Partnership. Please contact engage2 if you require information in any specific format for your networks, or if you would like someone to talk about OGP at your event.
