Public Service Code of Conduct and resource material
Values are central to the New Zealand Public Service. Values are essentially the link between the daily work of public servants and the broad aims of democratic government in New Zealand. The core values of the Public Service are described in the New Zealand Public Service Code of Conduct, which is issued by the State Services Commissioner under section 57 of the State Sector Act 1988. The Code describes the standards of conduct required of public servants in line with the core values.
