The State Services Commissioner, Mark Prebble, today announced that Alastair Morrison has been asked to act as Director General and Chief Executive for the Department of Conservation. Alastair Morrison is presently the General Manager, Strategy and Policy at the Department.
The State Services Commission will now commence its recruitment process for a permanent chief executive appointment.
The current Director General and Chief Executive, Hugh Logan, will take up his new position as Chief Executive at the Ministry for the Environment on 29 May 2006. Alastair Morrison will take up the acting position on his departure.
